GL Group is seeking an experienced Senior Production and Development Geologist for one of the affiliated companies who will manage and develop five onshore fields situated in the South Caspian basin. The position holder will play a crucial role in sustaining field development and production. The responsibilities will include active participation in field operations, planning and delivering new wells, and conducting post-drilling analyses. The Senior Production and Development Geologist will be reporting to the Reservoir Development Expert of GL Group.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within an integrated team comprising of geologists, reservoir engineers, petroleum engineers, and artificial-lift specialists;
- Integrate all existing wells, logs, production, and surveillance data in preparation for the comprehensive justification for Work Over operations and NW/ST locations;
- Use available technologies to determine reservoir architecture and hydrocarbon potential by using a variety of data acquisition services and logging systems to understand the structure, stratigraphy, lithology, and compartmentalization of the reservoir;
- Utilize existing geological and simulation models in respect to determine the best place to drill or complete wells with minimum environmental damage;
- Developing an annual work program for field development requires careful planning and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, especially when aligning activities with field geology personnel.

- Prepare and present professional quality presentation materials to peers and management;

Qualifications:
- Hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in Geology;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a geologist in E&P company;
- Experience in using geotechnical applications relating to data interpretation, correlation, and mapping e.g. GGX, Petrel;
- Proficiency in written and verbal Azerbaijani and English languages.
